How To Triangle Part Hair Step 1: Create 4 large triangular parts

How To create 4 triangular parts?

First create two diagonal lines perpendicular to each other or to create an X:

A.   Part hair in half along a diagonal from your left temple to the right side of the base of your head. I know this is weird but trust the process.

B.   Create a second diagonal part perpendicular to the first parting line from your right temple to the left side of the base of your head.

NOTE: This will produce and X which will produce 4 triangles.

How To Triangle Part Hair Step 2: Create 4 smaller triangles within each of the 4 large triangle parts created in Step 1.

How to create smaller triangles within each bigger triangle?

A.   Choose one of the 4 sections to work on first. Then, using the center of the X as your guide, create a smaller triangle part. To do that, make a straight vertical line (from left to right) about half way down from the intersection of the X. Pull that smaller triangular section back into a braid or ponytail.

FYI: These triangle parts are for jumbo braids so my triangle sections are gonna be BIG! However, you can create smaller triangles using this exact method.

Curls On Demand
  • I suggest you make the vertical part closer to the intersection of the x so your first triangle will be smaller. Then create smaller vertical sections forming smaller triangles within each section. I will most likely create a new blog post covering smaller triangles(who knows?)

B.   Next, create three more triangles below the smaller triangle created in 2A.

Here’s how to create the three triangular parts:
  • Create a diagonal line from the right base of the triangle created in 2A to the middle of the section.
Untitled design (7)
  • Create a second diagonal line (from the left to right) and connect to the previous diagonal line created above. This step will produce 3 triangles below the triangle created in Step 2A.
Untitled design (8)
  • Next repeat Step 2 for the other three sections by creating 4 smaller triangles within each bigger triangle and you’re done! You should have a head full of jumbo triangles.

Super simple right? This method will produce 16 jumbo parts!
